Appointments, cross appointments, fellowships

Dr. Craig is a Professor in the Department of Psychology at Queen’s University. She received her Ph.D. in 1993 from York University. Her research program focuses on two areas. The first examines the risk and protective factors associated with bullying and victimization in family, peer, individual, school and social relationships. The second research program addresses the development of aggression in females as demonstrated in romantic relationships, dating violence and young girls with behavior problems.

In recognition of her work on bullying and victimization, she recently won an Investigator Award from the Canadian Institute of Health Research. Dr. Craig regularly speaks to parents and educators concerning the issues of violence in schools. She has published widely in the area including topics of bullying and victimization, peer processes, sexual harassment and aggression in girls. She was editor of a volume on childhood social development. Dr. Craig has co-authored two books as well as numerous book chapters and articles. She recently wrote a chapter on bullying and fighting for the World Health International Report for the World Health Organization.
